Deputy Group Privacy Officer

Role Context:


Reporting to the Group Privacy Officer, the role holder will play the lead role in ensuring the delivery and completion of all activities included in the services provided by Global Data Protection Office.

They will engage proactively across the Worley Group to drive continuous improvement and implementation of "privacy by design and default" across organizational processes.

The role requires a hands-on approach to data privacy, data protection and risk management, which includes maintaining compliance with regulations such as GDPR, UK DPA, CCPA, and other privacy regulations as relevant.


You'll be:


  • Carrying out Continuous improvements and build upon a strong Group privacy compliance program that keeps pace with applicable global regulations as well as local regulations applicable to Worley, including oversight for testing and reporting of applicable law, regulatory guidance, and internal policy requirements.
  • The daytoday primary point of contact for internal and external GDPR enquiries.
  • Completing and documenting Privacy Impact Assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments within the predefined framework. Produce, verify, and negotiate with internal or external stakeholders' necessary deliverables (e.g., data processing agreements).
  • Engaging with business owners, conduct audits, and obtain their commitment for risk mitigation related to risk identified within activities assigned to them.
  • Analyzing and assess incoming personal data breaches per a predefined assessment schema and respond appropriately as a member of the Group's Incident Response Team.
  • Drafting reviewing and negotiating a broad range of contracts, review 3rd party privacy controls, and respond to partner security duediligence requests.
  • Leading on the creation and updating of a register of processing operations within the Group.
  • Handling Individual Complaints
:

Coordinate or execute fact-finding related to the history of any complaint and provide response letters related to complaints submitted by individual persons.


  • Leading various Group privacy projects to ensure compliance with new privacy laws and regulation affecting different parts of the business.

You'll have:


  • Relevant international privacy certification (CIPP, CIPM, etc.)
  • Experience with One Trust or other privacy enabling technologies.
  • Prior experience building a privacy and data governance program at an international company.
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative, to negotiate, influence and build consensus and successfully navigate within a demanding and international environment of a leading global energy resources institution.
