    Job Title: Information Security & Privacy Training Manager

    Department: Office of the General Counsel

    Office Location: Birmingham or London

    Reports To: Chief Information Security Officer

    Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm. Additional hours may be required.

    Firm Description: Hogan Lovells is a leading global law firm.

    Department Description: The General Counsel's office provides legal counsel to the firm, handling conflicts, ethics, engagement terms, business intake, compliance with law and regulations, general firm policies, risk management, and reputation matters.

    Role Overview:

    1. Identify and monitor security and privacy training needs within the organization.
    2. Design, plan, and implement security and privacy training programs, campaigns, policies, and procedures that meet those needs.

    The Information Security and Privacy Training Manager will leverage content from vendors and develop our own curriculum, facilitating virtual and in-person training workshops for executive audiences, and monitoring program success.

    1. Develop and mature a global information security and privacy training and awareness program.
    2. Ensure training materials are current, accurate, and effective.
    3. Manage the firm's phishing simulation testing program.
    4. Collaborate with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for outside training programs.
    5. Ensure training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budgets.
    6. Conduct or facilitate required and recommended training sessions.
    7. Support cross-functional collaboration to deliver projects according to agreed scope and budget.

    Person Specification:

    Qualifications and Training: Industry-relevant certifications (CIPP-E, CIPP-US, CISM, Security+, CISSP) are preferred. Education or training in executive education, professional development, corporate communications, or related areas is also desired.

  • Strong executive presence, with ability to moderate large meetings, both in person and virtually.
  • At least five years' experience in delivering, developing, and managing training development.
  • At least three years' experience in cybersecurity/privacy fields.
  • Experience reviewing policies and requirements from a user perspective, providing a pragmatic approach to improving awareness.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and recommendations development.
  • Experience with risk and issue management.
  • Strong project planning and management skills.
  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks (NIST, ISO, MITRE) is desirable.
