About the role


The role of the Pharmaceutical Quality System Trainer is integral to achieving our exciting Level of Ambition in Bath ASU, by delivering general GMP awareness training and developing dedicated training programs for key elements of the PQS providing support to new and existing employees.


As PQS trainer you will design dedicated quality assurance training programs, including implementation and evaluation and support others in the delivery of effective training to company personnel.

You will maintain quality training programs in compliance with current international, regulatory and / or ISO requirements.

The role also involves working proactively within the company and interacting with a wide range of employees, maintaining up to date training records and ensuring training documentation is reviewed routinely and updated as necessary.


Duties and responsibilities
To actively deliver the groups induction with support from HR


To welcome new starters and have a great joining experience that is positive and carried out as described in Bath ASU programme.


To actively deliver the groups Pharmaceutical Quality System training (to include but not limited to Complaints, Deviations, Change Controls, RCA, GMP, GDP, Data Integrity, QA and QC).

To support the learning and development department in the delivery of in-house programmes.


To create a climate conducive to learning by organising, managing, and monitoring physical resources available to the department, including internal and external training venues.

To prepare and develop a range of resources to support learning, including blended learning.

To deliver training using a wide range of learning methods.

To ensure that the learning and development department have the required information about attendees at induction.

To ensure that all new starters complete the required induction.

To evaluate the learning of participants and the impact of training on employee skills using the agreed assessment tools

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current learning and development process and achieve qualifications.


Mapping out training plans and schedules, designing and developing training programs (outsourced or in-house) for corporate, HR training and more.

Choosing appropriate training methods per case (virtual, simulated, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, etc.).

Marketing available training opportunities to employees and providing necessary information.

Responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting all training programs.

Select appropriate training methods or activities.

Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house) relating to the PQS.

Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.

Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials.

Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session.

Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design.

Work with the competent person to achieve compliance with the COSHH Regulations.

Commitment to manage and participate in any extended hours rotas or Bank Holiday rotas.


To assist with the development and maintenance of secure systems (computerised and written) for the recording of training undertaken in accordance with MHRA requirements.

To attend such study days and up-dating course as are deemed necessary for the advancement of the service.

To support the Quality team in peak periods, in the spirit of Our community.

To undertake any other duties as required by your line manager or Bath ASU Senior Management Team.
