We work with some World-famous brands, the majority of which are in the Motorsport industry however, we also supply products into the Aerospace, MOD and Marine industries so as you can imagine quality is of the utmost importance.

We have a specially kitted out workshop, one that you would be proud to work in which is located conveniently just on the outskirts of Milton Keynes centre.

We are recruiting for lots of new team members due to huge growth within our order books.


Job Purpose:


Have strong commercial, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to take responsibility for decisions and articulate reasons for decisions made in a transparent way, whilst dealing with changes effectively.


The Job


As Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will be expected to manage all aspects of planning, purchasing and stores within the business.


Main Duties:
**- Manage the Buyer to ensure that the Purchasing team are optimising all elements of the external supply chain.

  • Management of the Stores team to ensure priorities are correct and work is on track.
  • System ownership and reporting for Orchestrate, ensuring the data within the plan is accurate and the plan is optimised at all times.
  • Provide the Managing Director with regular resource forecasts.
  • Develop and manage all operational KPI's.
  • Full ownership of the Planning elements within the business ensuring the data is correct and deadlines can be achieved, escalating where required.
  • Full ownership of the Stores functions including ongoing monitoring of stock accuracy.
  • Full ownership of the Purchasing team ensuring that all business certification needs are met through the external supply chain.
  • Production of regular reports from planning system to provide clear overview of current state.
  • Provide training to all new staff within your team to ensure the product flow is clear and transparent.
  • Ensure that all required competencies exist within your team.
  • Identify areas for Continual Improvement.
  • Work with the Production Planner and Buyer to coordinate all external resource issues. ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner in line with customer requirements.
  • Liaise with the Department Heads and Managers to ensure that all internal logistic needs are met.
  • Use environmentally sustainable practices in accordance with our environmental policy.
  • Seek ways to reduce waste and energy usage in accordance with our environmental objectives.
  • You may be required to complete other tasks, as required by the business.

The Person and Skills Required:


Qualifications:


  • No specific qualifications are required to succeed within this role.

Experience

  • Relevant professional experience.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining KPIs.
  • Experience within logistics is desirable but not essential.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • People management skills.
  • Able to effectively plan processes.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Resource management skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Strong time management skills.
