The Role

  • Running Quality Control (QC) assays assigned by the Line Manager
  • Preparation of reagents for running assays and raw material testing
  • Quality Inspection of final product and assembled kits
  • Calibrate equipment and update temperature logs
  • Data interpretation from relevant QC tasks under the supervision of senior staff
  • Competent in the use of company software
  • Manufacture and test internal controls as instructed by senior staff
  • Restock laboratory consumables
  • Waste deactivation and disposal
  • Maintain workplace and equipment in good order
  • Perform any duties as required by the business

Experience Required

  • Scientific Based Degree
  • Experience working in a laboratorybased environment in a sciencebased company
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
  • Understanding of ELISA and/or PCR processes and workflows
  • Ability to use pipettes
  • Ability to follow procedures
  • Ability to be methodical, conscientious, organized and show attention to detail
  • Ability to work proactively both individually and in a team
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Contribute towards improving processes and documentation
  • Adaptability to work with a fluctuating testing schedule
  • To maintain a high level of integrity, motivation, and reliability in all work
