Management Accountant | Nottingham | £40,000 - £48,000 |Hybrid Working
Macildowie is currently working with a multi-award engineering consultancy based in Nottingham. My client is now looking at hiring a permanent Management Accountant to join the vast experience finance team.


They are wanting somebody to come in and make a difference within the company and want roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.


What is the role?

  • Manage the production of the company's Profit and Loss reporting.
  • Analysis of project performance and revenue recognition.
  • Analysis of the company and department staff utilisation.
  • Production of departmental budgets.
  • Responsible for the management of operational P&Ls and reporting.
  • Review and communicate to operational managers on variance analysis.
  • Responsible for the management & review of overheads with department heads.
  • Initiate and deliver the evolution of financial reporting.

So who are you?

  • The successful individual will be CIMA qualified and have extensive experience in producing monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheet preparation and calculation of funds flow statements
  • Analytical skills and working with large volumes of data to produce valuable reports for stakeholders
  • Advanced skills in Excel are required, preferably with experience in SQL
  • Practical experience working within a busy team, delivering to strict deadlines and being responsible for own reporting outputs is essential
  • You will have a friendly and approachable personality to fit well into the hardworking team and be able to communicate effectively. Experience working in a similar consulting industry would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of financial analytical tools would be desirable
