Description
We're looking for a proactive, friendly and welcoming person to join our Visitor Centre team.

This is a seasonal role from April - October each year.

The normal daily hours will be 10am - 5pm or 10am - 3pm, and some weekend and bank holiday work is essential as this is when we're busiest.

Working at Hampton Court Castle
Hampton Court Castle is a 15th century castle based between Leominster and Hereford. We hold fabulous weddings and private functions inside the castle, and operate as a seasonal visitor attraction.

Visitors come to see our formal gardens, take castle tours on select days, relax in the amazing surroundings and visit our Orangery Cafe.

Hampton Court Castle Ltd is a new, mission-led company that manages the whole Hampton Court Castle estate.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Welcoming visitors and helping them understand how they can get the best out of their visit.
  • Using the EPOS till system to issue tickets and sell items.
  • Promoting a high standard of customer service.
  • Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness in the Visitor Centre, including all plant and gift storage areas.
  • Assisting with the running of public events held on site.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well in a small team and independently.
  • Organised and proactive.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to keep calm under pressure.
  • High standards of personal presentation.
  • Good IT skills with confidence in learning new systems.
  • Approachable, friendly and customerfocused.
