Purpose of the role:

Key responsibilities:


  • Support delivery of client commissions
  • Support and learn about BD opportunities
  • Support the consulting team, own and develop project deliverables
  • Support the development of the client relationship at project or commission level
  • Support in measuring and addressing client satisfaction across all programmes
  • Work within a Cost Management team delivering multiple commissions and be responsible for outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team, building a strong team spirit and work ethic
  • Actively contribute to workwinning activities
  • Have client interface with your commissions.
  • Be accountable for achieving internal targets, KPIs and the like.
  • Provide effective support to team members, inclusive of Senior Managers.
  • Support producing reports in an appropriate format to communicate/enable decision making.
  • Awareness of industry developments.
  • A high degree of independence and a willingness to learn.

Expected skills and experience:


  • Good working knowledge of construction contracts, such as: ICC, NEC, JCT, etc.
  • Experience of undertaking cost/commercial management activities as part of integrated, multiorganisation, collaborative teams. Demonstrable experience in at least two of the following sectors
  • Commercial Offices, Residential, Mixed Use, Education, Healthcare, Industrial and Infrastructure.
  • 2 to 3 years following postgrad qualification

Expected qualifications:


  • Ideally Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification
  • Ideally hold or working towards an Accredited Chartered status, such as RICS, CIOB, ICES
