THE ROLE:

Transport Supervisor

In this role you will be responsible for the overseeing of the day-to-day operations of the Transport Department, you will manage a team of drivers and other transport staff, ensuring they work efficiently and effectively to meet our customers' needs.

THE SALARY:

Competitive Dependant on experience.

OFFICE BASED
This role will be office based at our site in Heathrow.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:

Assist with the Management of fleet maintenance of circa 24 vehicles in line with operator licence obligations.
Direct the activities of staff in relation to transport operations including dispatching, tracking and debrief.
Ensure that staff comply with policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
Coach, train, manage the performance of drivers.
Contribute to the planning, development, and organisation of the transport department.
Liaising with Local agency providers when needed.
Ensure all vehicles and drivers conform to relevant health and safety and Road Traffic legislation.
Ensure route planning and vehicle loading is appropriate and suggest improvements where possible to the Transport Planning team.
Ensure OTIF (On time in full) is met and that all deliveries are executed as per the customer requirements.
Contribute to the development and communication of transport policies and procedures.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Qualifications.
A Level 2 in English & Maths - desirable.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong understanding of Cargowise

Experience.

You will have experience of working as a Transport Supervisor within a logistics background and be able to work collaboratively with drivers and the team ensuring the smooth running of the department.

Communication.
