We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Press Officer to join our esteemed client, a leading organization committed to protecting and supporting healthcare professionals.

In this hybrid role, you will have the opportunity to work both remotely and visit our impressive office at The Shard in London, making it an exciting and diverse opportunity.


As a Press Officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the interests of our valued group members.

You will be responsible for crafting compelling written content that effectively communicates our mission and values to the public, media outlets, and relevant stakeholders.

Your exceptional writing skills and strategic thinking will ensure that our messages resonate and create a positive impact.


A key aspect of this role is the provision of individual consultations to support and assist our members during challenging times.

Your empathetic and proactive approach will be critical in addressing their needs and ensuring they receive the guidance and protection they require.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement effective press and communication strategies to protect the interests of our group members.
  • Create engaging and impactful written content for press releases, statements, articles, and other media materials.
  • Provide individual consultations to our members, offering support and guidance in times of need.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, influencers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Leverage social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, to amplify our messages and engage with a diverse audience.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, legal, and policy, to ensure consistent and cohesive messaging.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends, current affairs, and regulatory developments that may impact our organization and members.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in a similar press or communications role, ideally within the healthcare or related sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Strong understanding of media relations, including building relationships with journalists and managing press inquiries.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional support and guidance in a consultative capacity.
  • Proficiency in leveraging social media platforms, particularly Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, to drive engagement and promote organizational objectives.
  • Strategic thinking and a creative mindset to effectively navigate complex issues and communicate key messages.
  • A memberfirst approach, with a genuine interest in protecting and supporting healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
