A great opportunity has arisen for an Editor to join our friendly Health Advice team to provide everyone with a lung condition with the best possible information so they can stay well and out of hospital, regardless of their income, age, ethnicity, gender, or background.

All our health information is developed using the latest evidence, with the support of healthcare professionals. And we put people affected by lung conditions at the heart of everything we do.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs.

We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime.

We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You'll work with the team to produce high-quality, evidence-based, clinically accurate health advice for people affected by lung conditions, in line with robust editorial processes and health information standards like the PIF TICK.

You'll research, write, review, and edit health advice for our website, printed resources and other media, including video. You'll also support large-scale health information content projects.

You'll have excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills (preferably in a healthcare context), strong attention to detail including accurate spelling and grammar, strong digital skills with an excellent working knowledge of SEO best practice, and strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

As a strong communicator and collaborator, you will have the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues across the organisation.
