Our client one of Europe's busiest ferry port, handling 33% of UK-EU trade, worth £144bn per annum.

Each year more than 2 million freight vehicles, 2 million tourist vehicles and 10 million passengers pass through the Port.


In your capacity as Assistant Delivery Project Manager (Civils Framework), you support the Project Delivery Manager in carrying out projects and performing maintenance on paving and civils works employing framework Partners on the infrastructure assets ofthe Port.

When necessary, you will step in as Project Manager and manage several modest works projects around the Framework.

In order to deliver improvement projects, scheduled preventative maintenance, and reactive maintenance on both marine-side and land-sideassets, you will organise and coordinate a team of project engineers and other professionals that will collaborate with our framework Partners.

You will support the manage the contractual and commercial facets of the framework contract alongside the internalFramework Commercial Manager and Project Delivery Manager.

You will scope, plan, deliver, communicate, and audit the undertaking of all works under the Framework in collaboration with our Framework Contractors, our internal engineering team, and other portstakeholders.

Additionally, you will serve as the project manager for any of your minor projects that fall within or outside the Framework.

Some strategic projects will necessitate cross-disciplinary collaboration, such as with building and M&E framework Partners.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • HNC level or above in civil engineering or construction related qualifications and working towards APM PFQ qualification (or competence demonstrated by experience) Proficiency with Microsoft packages, particularly Excel andexcellent knowledge of Project Planning tools Understanding of contract administration and tendering, as well as a high-level of cost and budget management Good understanding of Risk Management and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards Possess an SMSTS or comparable qualification
