Business Development Manager - Events Sponsorship Sales

  • Large Scale International B2B Conferences & Exhibitions_

Reading, Berks - Hybrid Working + International Travel

Base salary up to £35,000 + Uncapped Commission


As a Business Development Manager, your mission will be to build new business relationships with blue-chip organisations and sell high-value sponsorship packages for leading large-scale B2B conferences & exhibitions.

This opportunity offers generous anduncapped commission.


What will you be doing?


This Business Development Manager opportunity is a great role for an ambitious and enthusiastic B2B sales professional to build business relationships with senior professionals in international corporate organisations.


  • You will be responsible for driving revenues through the sale of high value sponsorship packages for a portfolio of highprofile international events.
  • The large scale B2B events you could be working on are held in the UK, US and Asia.
  • You will focus on generating new business, increasing the sales pipeline and bringing on new clients. You will be working with an established and leading global brand and benefit from a strong database of existing contacts, warm leads, and the opportunityto develop your own new business.
  • Growing relationships with key accounts by planning and tailoring their marketing activities using a consultative approach with the intention of growing yearonyear spend
  • Researching the industry and client landscape
  • Pitching clients over the phone and through facetoface meetings in a consultative solutionsled professional manner to key decision makers / Clevel contacts in corporate organisations.
  • Become a market specialist in your industry
  • You will attend client meetings and events therefore travel will be part of your role

Who are you?

  • You'll be educated to degree level and have 13 years of sponsorship sales experience or similar experience such as; recruitment consultant, media / advertising sales, IT sales
  • You will have an understanding of consultative solutionsled sales process
  • Have an interest in business and enjoy learning new information
  • Excellent communication skills, facetoface and over the phone
  • Excellent at developing business relationships and understanding client needs
  • Strong at initiating new business with new clients
  • You will be proactive in your approach to selling, persuasive & confident
  • You must be hardworking, committed, and a team player
