Description
Customer service skills and full administration experience will be essential for this role. You should be able to evidence a flexible response to service needs, and the ability to think creatively. Experience of working to deadlines, on your own initiative, and maintaining strict confidentiality are also essential.

A working knowledge of Microsoft packages are essential for this role. Knowledge of the Trust system Lorenzo would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided.

Understanding medical medical terminology would be advantageous.

Named support for referral management

Planning of appointments/meetings and Diary Management


Use the electronic patient database system to input data, validate and update patient information to ensure correct use of grammar, spelling and sense-check of clinical entries.


Provide a friendly and professional service, dealing with incoming telephone calls, meeting, and greeting of patients, their families, and visitors on site via reception.

Assist with information gathering from multi-agency partners and attending or minute taking.

Reception cover, including meeting and greeting visitors to the building and signing them in.


Ensure all duties are undertaken in line with standard operating procedures to enable the achievement of Trust and service specific key performance indicators.

Maintain accurate and appropriate patient records, including filing and data input within confidentiality guidelines.

Use set procedures to undertake administrative and secretarial functions around legislative procedures i.e. Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act.

Transfer of data to bespoke spreadsheets.

Undertake other appropriate duties as directed, being adaptable and flexible to service needs and changes across the locality.

Must be able to prioritise a varied workload based on business need.
