This is an exciting opportunity to work within Corporate Operations, specifically within the Governance Support Team.


The Governance Support team are a professional business support function which as a corporate function ensures all governance processes and procedures are followed across the whole organisation and timescales met for the publication of information.

The role involves working directly with County Council Elected Members, Cabinet Members, Senior Leadership Team and Wider Leadership Team.

  • Supporting Members & Democratic Services in the administration behind the decisionmaking process
  • Provide administrative support to the 4 Overview & Scrutiny Committees
  • Input key decisions on to the Forward Plan
  • Format reports and documents ready for approvals and publishing
  • Opportunity to supervise a process and individuals
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with O365 products
  • Organisational skills
  • Office experience (1 year minimum)
  • Supervisory skills preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills
