WHAT TO EXPECT


As an Integrated Production Systems Technology Lead you will drive the understanding and the accountability of IPS/Compliance within your technology area.

You will also be part of a cross site team shaping the future of the Global IPS Strategy.

Withing this role you will Design, develop & implement the IPS and Deliver the Global manufacturing Strategy within Solihull.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and grow the Integrated Production system aligning to the reimagine strategy and refocus transformation programme.
  • Set the standards and ensure the standards are met and maintained across the Solihull site.
  • Evolve the defined standard, change control and governance on adoption/deviation from this standard.
  • Ensure alignment with the overall JLR Operations, Quality, Digital People, Site Transformation
  • Provide operational delivery teams with the tools and resources required to successfully deploy and manage the IPS this includes business change management, training and deployment activities.
  • Ensure processes are capable and operate in a controlled/compliant manner.
  • Drive leadership alignment in relation to the endtoend process, across the stakeholders within and across other enterprisewide processes
  • Develop deliverables into the master schedules line items to drive completion and identify roadblocks and escalate potential concerns.
  • Cascade and deploy any Central IPS changes through Solihull Manufacturing.
  • Support and drive the Kaizen committees and Kaizen APP across the Solihull site.
  • Support/Coach TIC across Solihull manufacturing.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Extensive production experience and knowledge within a manufacturing environment, with a particular emphasis on lean manufacturing operations
  • Application of business management tools and techniques within a manufacturing environment, including production systems design and process development
  • Presentation skills, appropriate to all levels of the organisation and applicable to different cultures; the ability to produce professional presentations with appropriate and carefully targeted messaging.
  • Use of appropriate processes, structures and metrics to drive business performance.
  • Understanding of quality operating system and the requirements of TS16949 / ISO 900
  • A solid understanding of managing people effectively through change and the change process.
  • Competent in all Microsoft office products
  • Experience and understanding of PDCA.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of business processes management
  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards and operating system
  • Agile / Tableau experience
