IT Adoption Specialist

Purpose


The IT Adoption Specialist will support the Head of IT Projects and Programme Delivery Manager in a broad range of activities aligned to relevant projects delivering IT services.

Their focus will be on user adoption and training for collaboration and communicationtools and services.

This will include the preparation of training materials, delivery of training sessions and the ownership and management of various user forums across the region.


You will

  • Lead the adoption and change management activities within the IT Projects unit.
  • Define, plan and schedule the adoption and change management activities for projects managed by the IT Projects unit.
  • Undertake delivery of facetoface and online training on IT tools and services to all our IT users.
  • Collaborate with third parties delivering IT services, complementing their IT training provision as required.
  • Adapt training sessions for the audience, such as Senior Leadership, IT trainers, or end users.
  • Create and update training materials to facilitate the adoption of IT skills within the workforce.
  • Develop and manage user forums and communities to facilitate ongoing learning and adoption.
  • Liaise with project sponsors, stakeholders, and staff in order to achieve project adoption goals.
  • Support other functional and operational areas such as testing, documentation, and analysis as required.
  • Support the release of the project to the support/services team.
Follow the processes and standards for project management and documentation and promote best practice across the wider IT team


You have

  • A passion for widening and supporting access to IT with previous experience of working in a large and complex IT environment, where you have coordinated information and supported projects with a focus on user adoption, change management and training.
  • Excellent experience of successfully delivering training programmes on site and online in group and on a onetoone basis.
  • Excellent successful experience of conducting training needs analysis and designing course materials and other documents such as guidelines.
  • Ability to summarise and organise information.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
  • Capacity to forge strong business relationships with external suppliers.
  • IT qualifications in Microsoft technologies and/or project management qualifications such as PRINCE II
  • The proven ability to analyse customer requirements, from both technical and nontechnical colleagues, and develop solutions to support the delivery of their needs.
  • Demonstrable excellent communication skills with the proven ability to convey complex ideas/processes/procedures to technical & nontechnical audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong, successful, and collaborative working relationships at all levels within an organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, effective time management and the ability to prioritise work, and be able to respond to tight deadlines both as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Educated to degree level in a professional or related discipline and/or with equivalent relevant practical experience and a minimum of ITIL foundation.
  • The ability and willingness to work within and be empathic with the ethos and values.
