- OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- Responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and develop training plans for teams and individuals. As an integral member of the Manufacturing team, this position designs, develops, manages, and conducts all manufacturing training programs/RFT projects and CI task. This position requires a strong knowledge of various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentor-ship programs, and e-learning
- MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Report to the Production Supervisor, ensuring Safe Working Practices are followed, Training academy timetable is updated and followed.
- Induct new employees and permanent personnel on H&S and the theory of proper manufacturing procedures and practices.
- Provide internal trainer sessions/ups killing for staff.
- Generate training audit reports and maintain all training records/certificates for manufacturing personnel.
- Create, update, and maintain manufacturing training documentation and training records.
- Design, develop, and map training plans and programs (outsourced and inhouse).
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to identify training needs and design training programs.
- Assist in the Cross-Training program by developing a crosstraining matrix and generating crosstraining status reports.
- Assist in creating and updating Manufacturing Process Instructions.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Under the direction from the Supervisor ensure that all team members are allocated at the start and during the shift, to effectively utilise all personnel resources.
- Must be able to provide focus and leadership for all team members. Ensure training team are aware of daily requirements.
- Carry out audits in various categories as requested.
- Ensure the KPI's values Safety, Quality Performance, Cost are at the forefront of all learning's and that the expectations of the product are clearly understood.
- Work with on site recruitment agencies to discuss staffing requirements.
- Have knowledge, understanding and cable of working with the Safety, Quality, Engineering and CI departments.
- Carry out RFT projects and present out to seniors.
- Carry out and support CI projects and present to seniors
- Be approachable and have a calm and consistent demeanour when under pressure.
- Preferred
- Experience in Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint & Outlook
- Good presentation skills Required
- Can work under pressure in a changing JIT environment
- Good Range of product knowledge.
- Approachable
- Good attention to detail
- Proven Problemsolving skills

Qualifications:
- Preferred
- ILM Level 2 Award in Leadership and Team Skills preferred but not essential
- Train the trainer qualification.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Follow all Health and Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training.
- Ensure all personnel adhere to the PPE regulations.
- Follow required emergency prevention and operational controls.
- Ensure fire register is up to date and completed.
- Report all accidents, occupational illnesses and emergencies.
- Segregation of waste is adhered too.
