RM Recruit are working with a Public Sector Organisation to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant for their team.

Working with an established finance team, this role will see you provide support during the busy year-end period as well as improving processeswherever possible.

Your remit will include, but not be limited to:

Financial accounts preparation and Year End closedown
Capital accounting (fixed assets, leases, IFRS16)
Government data returns
Support for Accounts Payable
Whole of Gov Accounts (WGA)
KPI data calculation & monitoring
VAT Accounting
System reporting development, particularly for yearend statutory accounting

Oracle systems experience would be highly desirable as well as experience of technical accounting in public or regulated sectors.

This role will have a duration of 6 months and will be predominantly home based. Some travel to their Birmingham office will be required but the organisations prides themselves on offering excellent work-life balance.
