Supply Chain Operative (Nights)
Kinnerton Confectionery, Fakenham


About the role:

We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Operative to join our team, at our site in Fakenham. You will be the liaison between production and warehouse working within a small team of 7-8 people.


Pay:
£13.18 per hour


Hours: 40.25 per week


Shifts:
Monday - Sunday, 4 on 4 off, 18:00 - 06:00 (12 hours)


Breaks: 30 minutes paid & 30 minutes unpaid

No experience is needed however it would be desirable to have warehouse or production operative experience.


There will be a 2-month training programme to be a line feeder, then after 3 months, you may be able to complete your forklift licence.


Responsibilities:


  • To ensure all vehicles are loaded/unloaded in a safe timely manner.
  • To control the movements of all stock throughout the site and record on the internal system (QAD) to keep the stocks accurate.
  • To ensure all production kits are available on time in full.
  • To ensure all finished goods, work in progress and excess packaging are removed from the factory floors to the appropriate area to enable a smooth flow of work through the plant.
  • To book these goods through QAD and Thirdparty systems accurately.
  • To support the business with its health, safety, and environmental responsibilities by reporting hazard spots and near misses.
  • Always promote and encourage Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety standards.
  • To work alongside the QA department to ensure stock is released as required.
  • To liaise with the purchasing department with any issue with stock received.
  • Raise issues with temperature or environment with the Shift leader as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance, Reach, Flexi Truck, PPT) or willingness to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Teamwork
  • Able to work independently and seek appropriate resources to support and achieve goals. essential.
  • A drive to succeed, improve and challenge the norm.
  • Previous Warehouse or Production experience. desirable
  • Good understanding of HACCP
  • Good understanding of Maths and Literacy.
  • Good problemsolving.
