Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Head of Strategic Product Development to join a very well established and reputable business based in the East Grinstead, West Sussex area.

This is a permanent Head of Product Development job opportunity.

Themain purpose of the Head of Strategic Product Development is to deliver innovative product development, product strategy, and future proofing the current portfolio of products and services.

Proven Product Management, Strategic Product Development experienceis key.


Salary:
up to £60K


Location:
Hybrid working - 2 days office based


Hours: 9-5 Mon-Fri


Head of Strategic Product Development duties:

  • Propose, develop and deliver new strategic product opportunities to enhance the current offering and drive engagement
  • Strategic product development initiatives, supporting the digital strategy and driving marketing performance
  • Work with stakeholders on strategic product development opportunities, prepare business cases, present and gain approval.
  • Identify new strategic partners both to add value to the current product portfolio and to facilitate new product development to reach new markets
  • Develop, implement and manage the strategic product lifecycle by working stakeholders to determine the customer benefits, product vision, standards, risk management, profitability and return on investment.
  • Work with the product owners and marketing to identify and support marketing campaign delivery to achieve the strategic product's business objectives.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market/industry trends and provide regular updates and analysis on any strategic product developments
  • Carry out post development and implementation evaluation

Skills and experience required:


  • Experience working in a similar Strategic Development, Product Development or Product Management type role
  • Ability and experience to prepare Business cases for new product developments and work with key Stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
