Permanent, 37 hours per week

Do you have proven experience of working in a busy office environment, with a good understanding of office processes and procedures?


We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated people who have a high level of written and verbal communication skills, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.


These roles are part of a diverse business services administration team who support Children and Young Peoples Services (CYPS); Social Care, Early Help, Safeguarding, Fostering and Adoption.

The roles are therefore varied and interesting.

Duties include inputting confidential data into a bespoke IT package, arranging and attending meetings to produce minutes and track actions, produce standard letters and liaise with other agencies.


Typing confidential minutes from audio recordings forms part of these roles and it is therefore essential that you can produce formal documents, within set timescales, to a high standard which are detailed and accurate.

Whilst training will be provided, good literacy skills are essential to these roles.


There are various office locations across the borough and duties will include working in a front facing capacity to facilitate reception however it should be noted there will be no direct work with children.


Rotherham offers a generous holiday entitlement; flexible working policy and you will be fully supported with regular supervisions with your Line Manager.


You should be aware that you will be responsible for processing information of a sensitive and confidential nature relating to child neglect or child abuse cases.
