Key Account Project Manager - Africa Region required for our Global Supply Chain client based in Halesowen, West Midlands.


We are looking to recruit an energetic, commercially aware and technically capable Project Manager (PM), to manage the day to day interactions with our client and our regional managers as you build, train and support a team of onsite staff, who will provideservice excellence and achieve the contracted value within the project.


Reporting to the Technical Manager 3PMRO projects, working alongside the UK Operations team, you will take ownership of this complex change management program as it moves from implementation to steady state.

Working with client stakeholders you will furtherdevelop the project, expanding its value add and linking new services, whilst ensuring the company meet or exceed our contracted targets.


The PM will manage the project roll out to an agreed timeline, gaining an understanding of the clients existing ways of working, as we adapt and integrate our company procedures and systems.


The PM will oversee the management of the contract, along with the clients corporate centre stakeholders, and will deliver the periodic reporting evidencing our value and performance at local and regional levels.


The position is UK based, with International travel, the PM will possess knowledge of the MRO category, or will have previously been a part of an Integrated Supply solution within the industrial sector.

You will work within a team, developing the commercialrelationship with our client's factory management executives and supporting their reliability and asset care teams.

A confident and a clear communicator, you will be able to present facts, figures and KPIs to key stakeholders and meet their reporting needs.

Travel, to from and within Africa, is an essential component of the job.

You will need to be comfortable working away from home, for extended periods, using your initiative and drive to overcome the daily challenges of managing change in complex markets.


The PM will support their in-client teams (operating in stores or procurement administration roles), you will possess the skills to help train, motivate and advance these teams throughout the contract term.


Requirements within the role:


  • Having a background in customer relationship management is essential
  • Experience in delivering a fully integrated supply solution in partnership with a corporate client.
  • A solid understanding of the requirements of manufacturing operations
  • The ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels
  • The ability to establish and maintain a network of contacts (Stakeholder Management)
  • The ability to sell a value proposition and business concept
  • An understanding of the challenges that exist when operating in partnership with large corporate organisations
  • The ability to develop and anticipate the client's current and future needs
  • Manage and deliver detailed business reviews to the service users, cataloguing the benefits and reporting the values delivered through the partnership
  • Create and develop a strategic plan to deliver ongoing service improvement and value add to the client
  • Able to travel to African regions on a regular basis.
  • Microsoft Office products, at a high level of competency (Excel, Power Bi), are essential. Some SAP knowledge would be beneficial

Basic Salary Guide:
c£45k to £50k

With a benefits package to include a car allowance, pension, health and travel insurance.
