The fast growing business line Eurofins Digital Testing is a global leader in end-to-end Quality Assurance (QA) and cyber security.

We work with key high-technology businesses in the consumer electronics, software development, automotive, IoT, connected health and media markets, operating a network of test labs in the USA, Belgium, Netherlands, UK, India and China.

In the context of the divestment by Eurofins Scientific S.E to Stirling Square Capital Partners, Eurofins Digital Testing is looking to scale the finance department


For the UK region, we are looking for a hands-on Business/Financial Controller to support the digital testing and cyber security activities in UK and make the bridge between the business and Shared Service Centre in Belgium.


Job Description:

The Business controller will operate in one of the 4 existing sites of Eurofins Digital Testing in UK; Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh or Glasgow, - being business partner of the managing director of the UK region, reporting into the global CFO of Eurofins Digital Testing

The role can be split in:

  • Strategical business partner
  • Budgeting and control
  • Accountable for O2C process of the UK businesses
  • Internal and external Compliance control


The Business controller will have contact with a wide range of stakeholders and operate in a matrix structure which requires very strong communication skills, leadership in change management.

It will also imply to travel across the different sites in the UK and internationally on a quite limited basis.

Hybrid working can be discussed.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Be the Business Partner of Managing Director of UK companies of Eurofins Digital and Cyber Security Testing
  • In close cooperation with the Shared Support Center (SSC) in BE, be responsible for monthly and quarterly financial management reporting of the UK region and its business units, explaining main variances in P&L, Net working capital, Capex and all other relevant financial matters
  • Get strong understanding of the business situation and make the bridge between business and finance
  • Business Partner for SSC for nonrecurrent and material financial matters (such as IT solutions, reporting processes, )
  • Manage local finance team that are in charge of the O2C process. Support where needed.
  • Make an analysis of and alert on deviations between actuals and budgets, challenge the business solutions to bridge gaps and monitor the action plans taken
  • Make adhoc financial analysis for the Management team (Managing Director(s), global CFO and global CEO)
  • Strong implication in the budget process of the business line and in particular be fully responsible of the coordination of the budget process and the forecasting exercises
  • Monitor and control compliance of spending & contracting authorities
  • Support local finance and admin in NWC and Treasury management
  • Ad hoc project management, including the implementation of Finance IT systems
  • Facilitate between the local Managing Directors/ Presidents and Shared Service Centres (Finance, Legal, Tax, Payroll)
  • Advisory role in M&A transactions and coordinate Post-M&A integration into the business line

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:


Level:


Education level & general experience:


  • Min 5 years of experience in business/financial controlling position
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) any other European languages would be a plus
  • Master degree in Accounting or finance

Technical knowledge/ expertise:


  • Technical knowledge IT: MS Office products with advanced level in Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of business processes
  • Experience with different Finance IT Solutions tools such as ERPtools, PSAtools, BItools, reportingtools; AX/GP (Microsoft)
  • Strong knowledge of business processes
  • Knowledge UK GAAP/IFRS
  • Basic knowledge UK Tax
  • Basic knowledge UK corporate legal

  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. oral and written communication skills, presentation skills) as this role will interface with leaders of the Group as well as local resources and experts.
