The successful applicant will support the Trade Development Manager in all aspects of the trade lane and will provide statistical analysis as and when required.

Relationship building is an essential part of this role both internally with other departmentsand with new and existing customers.?

We believe the successful Assistant to Import TDM should have the following skills:

Previous experience within an Import/Export environment is essential
Previous experience of reporting & compiling statistics
Confident and professional telephone manner
Excellent organisational & Time management skills
Strong telesales and negotiation skills essential
Ability to demonstrate a professional manner at all times
Working knowledge of Microsoft packages essential

The key tasks for the Assistant to Import TDM are:

Supporting the Trade Development Manager to maximize trade growth
Production and analysis of weekly and monthly reports
Complete analysis of trade/Intermodal/customer activities
Supporting the Trade Development Manager in the retention of customers
Maintaining all trade databases
Build relationships with customer base and MSC Origin offices
Telephone sales action to increase company profile
Research of Industry and customer activities
Quoting and following up all rate enquires
