Position:
Graduate Teaching Assistants

Location:
SEN Schools and Alternative Provisions in Slough

Schedule:
Full-time (5 days a week), 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Salary:
£75-£92 per day

Empowering Learning is seeking passionate graduates in Psychology and Criminology to join our team in Slough.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young learners with social and emotional mental health needs.

Responsibilities:

Provide support to children aged 1116 with special needs such as ADHD, SEMH, ASD, and complex needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and the ability to set clear boundaries.
Utilize excellent behaviour management techniques.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students through comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Criminology, or related fields.
Passion for working with young learners with social and emotional mental health needs.
Desirable: Experience in youth work, youth support work, or with young offenders.
Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service is essential.
