Matthews Haulage & Partners in Hertford are looking to expand their team, by recruiting a Transport Planner to join their pallet network side of the business.

Main duties will be:

• Route Planning for both collections and deliveries.
• Supporting / Working alongside the Transport Manager.
• Working mainly on the Pallet Network side of the business, but supporting the whole traffic office as and when needed.
• Monitoring Drivers progress throughout the day, ensuring timed deliveries are met.
• Preparing paperwork and manifests for delivery routes.
• Liaising with Customers.
• Liaising with other transport companies in the network, dealing with any issues as and when they arise.
• Working Monday to Friday and some availability for Saturday Mornings if required.

- have experience of working in a busy traffic office.
- have good geographical knowledge of the local area and UK.
- work well under pressure and understand the demands of a transport office.
- be looking for a career, not just 'another' job.
- be self motivated with a flexible approach and have a willingness to learn.
- preferably have an understanding of drivers hours.

• HGV and/or Forklift Licence also an added advantage.

Salary:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
