We have an opening for a Senior Associate / Executive role, within the Group Treasury Balance Sheet Management ("BSM") team here in London.

This is a great opportunity for a high motivated individual, who would like to work in a multidisciplinary role, with a focus on liquidity and capital management.


You will be part of a team that is responsible for ensuring that Macquarie's regulated investment and asset management entities in the EMEA region remain well funded and adequately meet their liquidity and capital requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • The role will have responsibilities across a variety of Treasury activities, including:
  • Managing the liquidity and capital requirements of UK and European regulated entities;
  • Helping identify and execute internal funding and capital transactions to support business and regulatory requirements;
  • Supporting Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment ("ICARA") processes for EMEA entities;
  • Providing analysis and input into liquidity and capital modelling and stress scenario analysis;
  • Developing and maintaining capital and liquidity policies and frameworks;
  • Working closely with our Risk Management Group ("RMG") teams in providing input to other frameworks related to capital and liquidity including Wind Down, Recovery and Resolution Planning;
  • Monitoring developments within the UK IFPR and EU IFR/IFD regulatory landscape;
  • Monitoring of capital and liquidity resources and preparation of management information, regulatory documents and local quarterly board reports;
  • Developing relationships with the business areas in order to advise on funding and liquidity matters and facilitating dialogue with Group Treasury teams in Sydney, Jacksonville, Dublin and Gurugram


If you have strong analytical skills, enjoy problem solving and can interpret and communicate complex information to a wide range of stakeholders then this is the role for you.

- hold a degree level qualification, preferably in a business/finance/economics or related discipline and with at least 2-3 years of experience within banking and finance
- an understanding of capital or liquidity regulatory frameworks would be advantageous
- be able to produce high-quality documents and presentations with a good eye for detail
- have a keen interest and understanding of financial and capital markets
- have advanced software skills (MS Office) and proficiency in Excel and financial modelling would be beneficial
- have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to understand and succinctly explain complex data
- have the ability to interact with a range of stakeholders and resolve competing priorities
- be highly motivated and a flexible team player


A treasury background in not strictly necessary, but an understanding of the regulatory environment for financial institutions and financial markets would be highly advantageous.

This role would suit someone who has strong analytical skills, enjoys problem solving and can interpret and communicate complex information to a wide range of stakeholders.
