Job DescriptionTo provide holiday / sickness cover for Security and Cleaning To ensure the site is Safe Secure and Clean.

carrying out cleaning and associated duties throughout Wellington Square in both the public and back of house service areas. Duties may vary depending on the shift worked and the time of the year. Employees will be expected to provide an excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.

To provide exceptional support and day to day management of the Wellington Square Shopping Centre Guest Safety, Car Park and Mitie site-based team who are responsible for supporting and managing all the centre operations 24hrs per day 7 days per week.

Main Tasks and ResponsibilitiesMain Tasks and Responsibilities

Cleaning

  • Cleaning, washing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and vacuum cleaning of designated areas to the required standard
  • Emptying all bins
  • To collect all waste and transport to the disposal area
  • To clean toilet, baby change, and facilities to the required standard and to ensure that consumables are replenished as required
  • Removal of chewing gum.
  • Cleaning all edges of the mall, around gullies downcomers and shop fronts
  • To monitor all floor surfaces removing litter and to ensure spillages are cleaned up immediately before they become a hazard
  • Cleaning of fixed fixtures and fitting
  • Cleaning of working surfaces and other furniture as directed
  • Clearing up after flooding and/or any other emergency cleaning including bodily fluids
  • To report defects noticed in the course of your duties to prevent accidents and damage to property
  • To comply with all safety policies, procedures and training relating to equipment, cleaning chemicals, safety notices and signage
  • This is not an allinclusive list all staff will be expected to undertake any other duties which may be regarded as within the duties and responsibilities of the post.
  • Work on a PDA to record planned and reactive tasks and other duties
Security

  • Ensure all incidents are logged and managed effectively through to completion
  • Manage the personnel within the mall, Control Room and Back of House
  • Effectively communicate business issues to the relevant centre departments
  • Maintain the standards of the Security for access / egress and visitor regulation
  • Ensure standards of dress, safety and presentation are maintained.
  • Extensive hazard spotting across the site and escalation of any safety issues to the relevant Manager
  • To be fully conversant with the methods of working all equipment and to ensure that it is of a standard and quality that covers requirements of the property.
  • Ensure that all contractual requirements are properly fulfilled and if there is an issue or concern the line Manager is notified.
  • Handle all daytoday enquiries which arise from whatever source in respect of the daily operation of the security of the centre.
  • To develop and maintain good working relations with Tenants, the Knight Frank team, and the onsite Mite team.
  • Any other reasonable request from management or client.
  • Completion and checking of all accident and Health and Safety reports
  • Responsible for providing excellent customer service and to address comments/complaints appropriately.
Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceKnowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Previous cleaning experience within a public environment
  • Experience of working with the public
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets and COSHH Assessments
  • Knowledge of basic health and safety
  • Integrity
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • An excellent work ethic
  • CCTV licence is essential
  • SIA Door Supervisor licence is desirable
  • First Aid
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Has the ability to contribute to the team's operation and can work on own initiative
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly at all levels within the organisation
  • A comprehensive working knowledge of all processes and procedures
  • A decisive and assertive decision maker who can interpret situations to proceed with a prioritised action plan that achieves the results required
  • Excellent reportwriting and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges
