Job Title:
Press Brake Setter/Operator (AMADA Machinery)

Location:
Birmingham

Hours:
Full-time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary:
£ £15.50 per hour (based on experience)

Overtime:
Paid at 1.3x the regular hourly rate

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Set up press brake machines based on job requirements, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling.
Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine bending sequences, angles, and dimensions.
Load materials onto the machine and perform test runs to ensure accuracy and quality of bends.
Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain proper alignment and tolerance levels.
Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, addressing any defects or discrepancies.
Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Press Brake Setter/Operator, preferably working with AMADA machinery.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform basic calculations.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and precision.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Pay:
£13.50-£15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
