Kirklees Council's Housing Solutions Service delivers a range of services aimed at preventing and relieving homelessness for individuals and households across the district.
The Private Rented Partnership Team provides a bespoke service for private rented landlords, letting agents and other accommodation providers to enable the provision of good quality, affordable accommodation for long term sustainable tenancies for homeless households accessing our Housing Solutions Service.
We are looking for a Housing Solutions Officer to complement existing resources for this exciting opportunity.
This role is for 18.5 hours per week working Monday to Wednesday (With Wednesday being a half day).
The Role
You will need the confidence and creativity to negotiate effectively with landlords, agents, and customers to promote and facilitate appropriate private rented accommodation as a realistic housing option.
You will liaise closely with the other Housing Solutions teams including Housing Compliance, who inspect and enforce property standards within the private rented sector, as well as the teams supporting those households facing or experiencing homelessness.
