As a Compliance Sampler in Water Quality, you'll help ensure the water we supply to our customers is wholesome and meets both our own and regulatory quality standards.

This is a part-time role where you'll work five days over a two week period averaging 18.5 hours per week. This will typically be 1 week on, 1 week off.

You don't need any previous experience, what's more important is that you're well organised, enjoy using your initiative and determined in your approach.

This is a field based role where you'll collect water samples across different areas of Sussex. We'll provide a company vehicle. The water samples will come from a variety of locations; including reservoirs, treatment works or customer properties.

You'll need to be comfortable speaking to customers and explaining why you're there and how you're there to help them.

It's your attention to detail that will enable you to ensure all paperwork, electronic records, water tests and samples are collected and recorded exactly as they are meant to be and in line with regulatory and company standards.

What you'll deliver

The collection of samples from a variety of locations and undertake water quality investigations.
The delivery of the samples to our laboratory in Farnborough, Hampshire
To perform onsite tests and quality control checks in accordance with South East Water and the Water Quality regulatory standards.
To ensure all paperwork and electronic records are maintained to the required standard.
To organise sampling in conjunction with water production staff to ensure the plant is running at time of sampling.

What you bring to the role

Good Customer Service.
Clean Driver's Licence.
Good Standard of Maths and English at GCSE Level.
Confident with IT / Computers.
Knowledge of plumbing advantageous but not essential.
