Main purpose

Key duties

  • Undertake technical audits of surveyors to ensure the building control service meets quality standards and objectives.
  • Manage final audits on projects prior to completion.
  • Assist Audit & Compliance Manager with the preparation of reports to monitor staff performances against key performance indicators (KPI's).
  • Ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Promote and enforce safety in the workplace.
  • Assist Audit & Compliance Manager in setting relevant goals that promote company growth.
  • Carry out additional duties as required by the wider ICW Group.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Chartered membership of an appropriate professional institution (RICS, CABE, CIOB) or can demonstrate competence in this field.
  • 2 years' experience in the construction industry with relevant experience in Building Control.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards/legislation and environmental issues.
  • IT literate with the ability to use a range of software programmes.

Requirements of role

  • Excellent client facing and relationship building skills.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written with appropriate interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a varied and busy workload.
  • Able to work with the minimum of supervision, in line with company policies and procedures.
