    Small Veterinary Surgeon Role

    We are seeking a skilled Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Otter Vets. Your duties will include performing first opinion work, including small animal consults and surgical caseloads, which may involve sole charge elements. There is an opportunity for mentoring junior colleagues.

    If you have a preference for mixed or small animal/equine work, we encourage you to apply as we can be flexible with roles. We also welcome part-time applications and will work with you to create a suitable rota.

    Flexible Shifts

    Our full-time Vets typically work 10 hours across 4 days per week, with 1:4 weekend on-call shifts. Weekends are from 8:30am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday. We prioritize work-life balance and are happy to discuss shift patterns that suit your needs.

    With over 70 years of history, our practice provides veterinary care to small animals, farms, and equines in our local communities. We operate from two branches in Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary, Devon.

    We offer a 24-hour service for mixed veterinary work. Our plans to reorganize our premises will facilitate growth and development, providing opportunities for further training, mentoring, and career progression. It's an exciting time to join Otter Vets.
