The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are partnering an accountancy practice who are embarking on a strategic expansion into Scotland.

Due to a gap in the market, our client have identified a massive growth opportunity and as such have opened an office in Dundee.

As suchwe have been exclusively retained to assist them in the recruitment of several key hires for the new venture.


The role of client tax manager (personal tax) will report into the operations director and will be based in the company's new Dundee office.

The post has been newly created due to organic growth and the decision to expand. You will be working within a departmentthat has a high level of interaction with internal stakeholders across multiple locations.


We have successfully placed a number of accounting professionals within this accounting firm and the consensus with all have been positive and have fed back that the practice is a superb employer.


The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide specialist tax advisory support to client managers, directors and partners.

You will review the work of a team of tax advisers/tax assistants and accounts assistants who work on your portfolio.

At the same time you willactively be encouraged to be the face of the firm when dealing with clients, at networking events and other industry specific forums.


On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;

Overall responsibility for a portfolio of clients - ensuring all work is completed within agreed timeframes and is technically accurate.

Assisting the Directors, Client Managers & Tax Specialists with more complex advisory work.
Requesting all relevant information for the completion of personal tax returns delegating where appropriate.
Advising clients on complex personal tax issues with the assistance of the tax specialist/director.
Overall management of the superannuation process and the tax return process for your own portfolio.
Updating internal technical processes & procedures.
Setting review criteria for reviewing of tax returns and advising the team of what is expected.
Reviewing tax computations, tax projections & tax returns.
Reviewing Annual Allowance pension calculations.


The Requirements

Ideally we are seeking an ATT/CTA qualified accountant however we would consider applicants who have not sat specific tax qualifications but are CA/ACCA qualified accountants.

This role will be heavily focused on client interaction and as such we require strongcommunication skills and who can comprehensively provide advice and guidance for their client base.

It is essential that applicants have a broad knowledge and practical experience of working within a corporate tax role within practice (in the UK).


Our client would lend themselves very nicely to an individual who is working within the larger firms but who feels that they are taken for granted.
