    Pay: From £12.84 per hour

    Job Type: Bank Staff (Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, or Zero Hours Contract)

    About Us

    We are a large, busy private day nursery dedicated to providing high-quality childcare and early education in a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and flexible Bank Staff to join our team of experienced Early Years Practitioners and support across our nursery units as needed.

    Role Overview

    As a Bank Nursery Practitioner, you will work as part of our friendly and supportive nursery team to deliver outstanding care and education to children aged 0–5 years. You will provide cover for staff absences and busy periods, working hours agreed on a weekly basis.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
    • Maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
    • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
    • Assist with daily routines including meal times, toileting, and rest periods.
    • Observe and record children's progress, supporting their individual learning and development.
    • Work collaboratively with team members across different nursery rooms.
    • Follow all nursery policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

    Requirements

    • A genuine passion for working with young children.
    • Ability to work flexibly, with shifts agreed weekly (Monday to Friday).
    • Knowledge of the EYFS or Development Matters guidance is desirable but not essential.
    • Relevant childcare qualification Level 3 in Early Years is required.
    • Previous experience working in a nursery setting (preferred).
    • Must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate near Blackburn (BB6 8AF).
