Description
Veritas is looking to appoint a 1:1 teaching assistant in a busy primary school within the HP area.
We are currently recruiting for a 1:1 teaching assistant for a Y6 pupil in a primary school.

The successful teaching assistant will work on a one to one basis with a year 6 pupil who is a lovely pupil, living in a children's home.

She is immature for her ageas she has experienced some trauma in the past. Her current LSA, who was currently working with her, is going on Maternity leave.

The school would ideally like someone until the end of the academic year.


Key skills and experience needed:

  • SEN experience is essential, preferably with young people with autism / ASD
  • Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
  • Strong behaviour management
  • Confident with onetoone and small group work
  • Able to use initiative and creativity to keep students occupied and engaged
  • Enthusiastic, positive and friendly approach whilst remaining firm, patient and persistent
