We are looking for a supportive and caring Team Leader?to be responsible for leading a team of 8 dedicated Support Workers at our service Capper Close in Newton Poppleford.

Capper Close provides housing-related support for people with high support needs. The purpose of the service is to enable people placed out of area to return to Devon. The service aims to support people in gaining the skills they need to live independently.


How you will make a difference

  • Liaise with the Registered Manager to ensure that any staff training, and development needs identified via supervision / appraisal are within budget;
  • To support the Registered Manager in the recruitment of staff and volunteers within the service, acting as a panel member in line with Recruitment and Selection policy;
  • To ensure that effective communications are in place and that the team is kept fully informed of organisational and service developments;
  • Work with the team in developing and maintaining quality improvements ensuring compliance with internal and external quality assurance systems;
  • To ensure all administrative, recording and reporting requirements, such as RIS/Sphera are undertaken in an appropriate and timely way by the team;
  • To ensure that staff within your team are aware of and comply with expense claim procedures and accurate recording and coding of financial information;
  • To hold delegated responsibility (in liaison with the Registered Manager) for service petty cash and monitoring.
  • Support the Registered Manager with financial procedures as and when required

What we are looking for
You will have experience of people management, strong communication skills and a understanding of mental illness. We will require you to have a NVQ level 2 or above in Health & Social Care.

But aside from that, being a Team Leader isn't all about qualifications, if you have a passion for making a difference then we can provide you will all the training and support that you need.




You may also have:

  • Previous experience in the charity, nonprofit, healthcare, or education sectors.
  • A background in providing techsupport services
  • Experience in managing a highvolume customer contact centre
