About the role
Due to continued growth, RS Recovery are recruiting a full-time breakdown controller to join our busy control team.

Based in our Tipton head office, you will report directly to the Control Room Manager and will suport the team leader.

The role will cover a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern from 15:00-03:00 or 16:00-04:00.

Your role will include, but won't be limited to, the following:

  • Take incoming calls from a variety of sources and manage those in a professional manner
  • Accurately record information as the first point of contact and prompt customers to ensure that essential information is obtained for efficient and safe roadside assistance and recovery
  • Assist with allocating and dispatching of appropriate resources to jobs
  • Liaise with customers throughout the job journey regarding progress as required by RS Recovery's contracts with them e.g. ETA, delays to journey times, completion details
  • Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of customers' contracts and requirements to ensure best practise
  • Documenting the 'request for assistance' journey and maintain appropriate records in accordance with company procedures and customer protocols

What you need to succeed
This is a varied role in a fast-paced team therefore the following skills and attributes are required:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Demonstrate professionalism whilst being able to act fast under pressure
  • Be able to multitask across various systems and mapping
  • Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential
  • Attention to detail
