Job Purpose:


Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary are embarking on some very exciting changes in order to be a more effective organisation.

Join us as a Business Change Support Coordinator and help us deliver some of our most high profile improvements so we can better serve our communities.


As a Business Change Support Coordinator you will work in a small, flexible team to complete a range of administrative tasks within our key IT systems as we work through these critical changes, ensuring our people are in the right teams, based in the right places, working at the right times, with the information they need to get the job done.


You will be exposed to and work closely with our strategic change programmes and our Workforce Planning and Resource Management Teams, offering a great opportunity for insight into how our organisation works at its centre.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To undertake tasks identified by the relevant management team to explore a range of options to achieve improvements within business as usual processes.
  • To collect, collate and analyse research topics and data to inform options and recommendations.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ascertain the relevant information to inform decision making.
  • To undertake a quality review process on existing procedures and processes to ensure it still delivers best practice and identifying innovative solutions for change.
  • To produce clear procedures and guidelines to assist with the implementation of change processes.
  • To produce management reports outlining the recommendations to the management team to consider for implementation.
  • To provide a range of documents which may include preparing reports, procedures, processes, flow charts, graphs, and presentations.
  • To provide advice and guidance to the Management Team in relation to progress of tasks.
  • To work in accordance with Force Policies and Procedures.
  • To give regular and effective service.

Essential Qualifications:


Educated to QCF Level 2 (5 passes) OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.


Essential Experience:

At least 2 years' experience in a busy office environment. To have had experience in dealing with a variety of organisations and communicating at all levels.

Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point, and has had responsibility for designing and producing complex spreadsheets and diagrams.
