The primary aim of this 0.8WTE appointment as Consultant in Oral Medicine is to join the existing well-integrated team to provide consultant-led service at tertiary level to the population of the North-East and beyond.
The post holder will contribute to all aspects of the clinical activity of the Department of Oral Medicine.The prime clinical role of the post will be to provide a specialist service for local general dental and medical practitioners for outpatients in particular in relation to the non-surgical management of oral ulceration, inflammatory and infective disorders, white and red patches, bullous lesions, pigmentation, salivary gland disorders, and the management of oral-facial pain.
The post holder is responsible to the Lead Clinician in Oral Medicine, the Clinical Director and operationally to the Clinical Services Manager at Newcastle Dental Hospital.
