Appetite4Work are looking to employ some kitchen assistants and kitchen porters to work in a school on an ongoing basis.

Having your own vehicle would be very beneifical to this role.

You must havea DBS check on the update system or be willing to have a DBS check for this role.

You must have your own transport.

Your responsibilities as a kitchen porter:

Washing up cutlery, crockery, saucepans and utensils
Peeling potatoes and preparation of vegetables
General cleaning of the kitchen
Cleaning out fridges and freezers
Sweeping and mopping the floor
Putting away food deliveries

This will be on an ongoing basis. We also have work available all over Sussex on a flexible basis.

Requirements:

Previously worked as a kitchen porter, cleaner or housekeeper or similar
Willing to be standing on your feet for the full duration of the shift and confident with some heavy lifting (e.g., a sack of potatoes = 25kg).
Must have a car to get to this location
