We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to provide administrative support for our lively and busy departments.

This varied and interesting post will involve close liaison with the staff within the departments, faculty-based teams, Central Professional Services, external organisations and members of the public.

About the role:

The key tasks will be providing administrative support for a number of departmental activities.

The role will focus on executive support for senior members of the academic staff, and play a vital role in servicing departmental committees and support for other departmental/Faculty events, including undergraduate admissions.

This is a permanent role offered on a 0.8fte (29.2 hours per week) part-time basis. We offer a hybrid working arrangement with the option of working from home for part of the week.

About you:

Educated to a minimum of A level or with an equivalent qualification, you will have experience of working in a busy office environment where excellent communication skills are essential.

Experience within the HE sector and knowledge of University Regulations and QA procedures is desirable but not crucial. Skills in the use of University specific software (Moodle, SAMIS, Agresso and Business Objects) will be an added advantage.

However, an interest in our work and a willingness to become fully involved in the life of the Faculty is equally important.

What we can offer you:

- a very generous employer contributory pension scheme
- generous annual leave allowance with an additional 5 discretionary days so that you can enjoy a positive work life balance
- we are a family-friendly University and with an increasingly agile workforce, are open to flexible working arrangements
- an excellent reward package that recognises the talents of our diverse workforce
- a wide range of personal and professional development opportunities
- a number of support options available for new and existing staff to help with the cost of some immigration expenses which you may be eligible for: Relocation allowance, Visa Reimbursement, Interest-Free Loan.

We are very proud to be an autism friendly university and are an accredited Disability Confident Leader; committed to building disability confidence and supporting disabled staff.
