We're hiring for a
Stores Operative to join an engineering manufacturer based in
Oldham.

Established for more than 30 years with a turnover of £4m, this is a company specialising in the design, manufacturing, and provision of bespoke equipment to the construction and manufacturing sectors.


What's on offer?
- £11.15 per hour

  • Monday
  • Friday 8:00am 4:30pm
  • Early finish on Fridays
  • 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)
  • Christmas shutdown period

What will you be doing as a Stores Operative?

  • Regularly inspecting inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies that need to be addressed
  • Receiving, inspecting and accurately recording incoming shipments, ensuring they align with purchase orders and are in good condition
  • Selecting products from inventory based on orders and carefully packaging them and preparing them for shipment
  • Entering data related to stock movements, transactions and other relevant information into the company's database
  • General warehouse duties
  • Adhering to company health and safety standards/requirements

What do you need?

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Mechanical engineering stores experience (advantageous)
  • An indate forklift licence (advantageous)
