MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

HINCKLEY

c£42k DOE

THE ROLE:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be required to:

  • Translate conceptual designs into mechanical design packages using SolidWorks
  • Create and implement designs and test procedures
  • Test, evaluate and modify products accordingly
  • Provide technical advice
  • Design new production processes
  • Solve complex issues
  • Produce supporting calculations and undertaking design reviews accordingly
  • Report the progress of design activities ensuring projects remain on course
  • Qualify and validate new products in accordance to technical specifications
  • Ensure on time delivery of designs and projects

THE CANDIDATE:


The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer:

  • Degree educated (beneficial) in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Fully conversant with SolidWorks (preferred)
  • Previous lighting and/or electronic knowledge is beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels
  • Clean driving license with a valid passport (international travel may be required periodically)

Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Birmingham, Coventry, Desford, Enderby, Hinckley, Leicester, Loughborough, Market Harborough, Rugby and Nuneaton
