What is great about the role?
In2change is a short-term housing service for homeless individuals to assess and work on their move on options. Their length of stay will depend on their options moving forward and what they support they need.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someonewho is looking for a nightshift role where you would be responsible for ensuring the health & safety of the building, monitoring people coming to and leaving the scheme, and being the point of contact for our clients, whether they need advice, support or somebodyto talk to at the end of the day.

Work Pattern:

The scheme is covered 24 hours, 7 days a week so you would be expected to work on a 5-week rolling rota which would involve: day shifts, evening shifts, weekends & sleep ins.**For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.


Day to Day Duties:


As a Scheme Support Officer, you work alongside the Project Workers, manage the scheme at night and be available to our clients who need support day or night.


Your day will consist of:


  • Engaging and interacting with the people we support
  • Supporting Project Workers in delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
  • Welfare checks
  • Ensuring the building is secure including health & safety checks and maintaining an awareness of who is in the building
  • Dealing with challenging behaviours
  • Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have
Our aim is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently.

This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse andanti-social and offending behaviour.

You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.
