South Derbyshire District Council is investing in its Housing Service in order to provide quality homes and services for tenants and the residents of South Derbyshire.

Tenancy Services now have
two full-time permanent opportunities within our Housing Officer team. This is a fast-paced, challenging environment. Team working together with the ability to prioritise is essential for this role.


The Council would like to hear from committed, enthusiastic and determined housing professionals who can help to deliver a frontline housing service that responds to the changing needs of tenants and the new regulatory framework.

Weekly arrears management is essential for this role. You will be required to attend Court on occasions for income and anti-social behaviour management. It is essential that the successful applicant will have the ability to hold and manage difficult conversations with tenants. You will need to work from the Civic Office.


You must have a current driving licence and access on a daily basis to your own vehicle together with access to the internet to support any flexible homeworking on agreed days.
