Up to 11 hour days

They are looking for flexible qualified drivers who are happy with palletized deliveries with a Class 2 vehicle which does vary on a daily basis.

You will have to handball the deliveries off at some destinations so good manual handling experience is required.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Newport, reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

HGV 2 Driving: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

Driver CPC (required)

Work Location:
In person

Safely operate a variety of vehicles including paratransit vans, tractortrailers, buses, and commercial vehicles.
Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation.
Load and unload cargo, packages, or passengers as required.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
Conduct pretrip and posttrip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries.

Skills:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
Ability to operate forklifts or other equipment for loading and unloading.
Experience in route driving or heavy haul transportation is a plus.
