Description
Spencer Clarke Group are hiring for a Bid Writer/ Business Development Manager for a local construction company.


As the Bid Writer/ Business development manager you will be tasked with.

  • Writing highquality and customerfocused responses: Responses that are clear, compliant, persuasive and wellstructured.
  • Editing and proofread responses: To ensure they answer the question and score maximum points, and to improve the structure, readability, grammar, spelling, punctuation and impact.
  • Developing win themes: Work with colleagues from the wider bid team to identify client drivers and our key selling points.
  • Planning and coordinate the delivery of submissions: Develop bid plans, schedule reviews and update bid plan trackers to ensure we meet strict deadlines.
  • Preparing and assist with post tender presentations: Support the development of clientfacing presentations after tenders have been submitted.
  • Writing case studies, capability statements and evidence pieces: Collect information from projects and write specific evidence pieces, case studies and capability statements.
  • 3+ years experience in bid writing, marketing or business development.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to write elegantly and with flair.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and ability to engage, motivate and influence others.
  • Flexible and approachable team player, but also selfdisciplined with the ability to work alone to hit deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly interpret and understand information and confidence to challenge solutions to ensure that they exceed client needs.
  • Ability to multitask, organise and work in a highpressure, deadlinedriven environment.
