JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for an enthusiastic IT support officer to join our team. You will assist in delivering IT support to the wider organisation.
You will also be expected to support the IT Manager in the day to day running and administrative tasks of IT services/solutions for the organisation.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organisation
- Support the IT Manger installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
- Assist with sourcing, quoting, and purchasing of IT equipment
- Educating endusers about new systems and software
- Ensuring the security of client and server computers by monitoring antivirus and firewall software
- Assisting IT Manager by taking care of basic tasks like creating userprofiles and monitoring updates
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly and sharing information on the organisation's intranet
- Testing new hardware and software before fullscale installation or implementation
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience:
Experience in IT support is not essential, the role will involve on the job training and there will be opportunities for continued personal development while in post.
This position would suit a person leaving school, further education or looking at a career change as an entry level role.
EssentialWindows devices and OS.
Desirable
- Basic knowledge of Apple iPhones/iPads and iOS.
- Basic knowledge of Audio and Visual systems.

- Excellent listening skills to establish the issues that users are facing

Work Related Personal Requirements
The post holder must be able to travel for work purposes.
The post holder may be expected to stay away for work purposes from time to time.
